Canadian National Medical Technologies Inc., (CANAMET Inc.), that has a primer
investor and significant sharehoder the China Century Financing Management
Consulting Company. Yesterday held, a launching meeting for “Non-Invasive
Medical Diagnostic Products & Technologies System” that took place in the Far
East Hotel in Taipei.
Dr. Stergiopoulos, Chief of the Research Team at DRDC Toronto, was invited to
make a presentation. Around 500 people in the industry attended the meeting.
The meeting has aroused interests and seen the eager attendance of domestic and
foreign medical devices manufacturers.
This is the first time the Canadian Department of National Defence has
transferred the advanced military Radar and Sonar technologies to civilian use.
It works with China Century Financing Management Consulting Company to develop
the first set of Non-Invasive medical diagnostic systems in the world using the
microwave and ultrasound technologies. There are five new products, namely
“Portable Blood Pressure Monitoring System ”, “Intracranial Ultrasound Measuring
System ”, “Intracranial Temperature Measuring System ”, “Signal Processing
Technologies for CT Imaging System ”, “3D/4D Ultrasound Systems ”.
Dr. Stergios Stergiopoulos pointed out that these highly precise sonar and
ultrasound technologies are applied to the software of these Non-Invasive
diagnostic measuring and medical imaging systems. It is quite similar to the
theory of using self-adaptive processing technology to monitor and discern
submarines. This technology can eliminate the interference of the environment,
increase the accuracy of diagnostic signals and improve the resolution of the
image. It not only helps the doctor to make a more accurate diagnosis, but also
lowers the chances of infection by inserting a probe into human body.
