CANAMET INC start-up commercializing Defense Department Research has FDA marketing clearance and new orders from China

TORONTO, October 7, 2004
CANAMET Inc., a new Canadian medical technology start-up nurtured at Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) has received 510K marketing clearance for its first product, the PIESOMETER MK-1 automated ambulatory blood pressure system. In fact, Canamet has sold 400 blood pressure systems in its first order to distributors in Taiwan (220-units) and China (200-units), with total revenue of US$255,000.
